# Velocity MCP

> Use Velocity from Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients.

Velocity runs an MCP server, so AI tools can read and manage your Velocity data. Every Merchant API endpoint is
available as a tool, including reps, teams, ownerships, and commissions.

The Velocity MCP is available on the Premium plan.

## Server URL

```text theme={null}
https://api.velocity.shop/mcp
```

You can also copy it from **MCP** under **Integration Settings** in Velocity's
[**Settings**](https://admin.shopify.com/apps/velocity-commission-maps/settings).

  <Accordion title="Other AI tools">
    Add a custom MCP connection with the server URL. Your AI tool must:

    * **Use the MCP client protocol** over
      [Streamable HTTP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/specification/2025-11-25/basic/transports).
    * **Support OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration and PKCE (S256).** The tool reads
      `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp` to find the authorization server, registers itself, and opens a
      browser so you can approve the connection.
    * **Send the `resource` parameter.** Use the exact server URL as `resource` in the authorization request.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Managing connections

Each connection belongs to the staff member who approved it and the AI tool they used. To disconnect a tool, open
**MCP** under **Integration Settings** in Velocity's
[**Settings**](https://admin.shopify.com/apps/velocity-commission-maps/settings) and select **Revoke**.

Each connection is limited to 60 tool calls per minute.
